Olympus Pay

Payment, refund and payout statuses

What each payment, refund and payout status means, and how refunds behave.

Payments

  • Pending: the payment record exists, checkout is not complete.
  • Processing: the charge has been submitted and is waiting for confirmation.
  • Succeeded: the full amount was collected and nothing has been refunded.
  • Partially refunded / Refunded: a payment that succeeded and has since been refunded in part or in full.
  • Failed: the attempt was declined or did not complete. No money was collected.
  • Cancelled: voided while still pending, so it never reached the processor.

Refunds

A payment can be refunded more than once, as long as the total refunded never goes above the original amount. Omit the amount for a full refund. On live keys, refunds above a limit for the currency need a second approver first; sandbox keys skip approval because no real money moves.

Payouts

  • Pending: requested, not yet submitted.
  • Processing: submitted, waiting for the transfer to complete.
  • Completed: the transfer landed and your platform was debited.
  • Failed: the transfer failed and nothing was posted to your platform.
  • Cancelled: cancelled while pending, so no money moved.
