- Government-issued ID: a valid, unexpired passport, national ID card or driving licence
- Proof of address: a utility bill, bank statement or other official document from the last three months
- Selfie verification: we may ask for a selfie, so we can match you to your ID

- Enrolment: you are currently enrolled at a recognised university, college, technical institution or other approved educational institution
- Age: you are within the applicable Olympian age range
- Student number: a valid student number or equivalent enrolment identifier
- Student email: an active institution-issued email address, verified through Olympus, where your institution provides one
- Study details: your institution, programme and expected graduation date
- Identity checks: a government-issued ID and a selfie, as for any individual
- Other documents: anything further we ask for
A personal email address such as Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook does not establish student status. If your institution does not provide student email addresses, Olympus may offer another way to verify. Student status can be checked again from time to time.

Studying abroad? Olympian Global may also ask for your passport or government ID, your country of study, residency or immigration details where they apply, sponsorship information and source of funds where required. Read the eligibility details
- Business information: name, registration number, legal structure and country of incorporation
- Ownership: details of the beneficial owners, directors and shareholders, with the shareholder register or proof of ownership
- Proof of business activity: financial statements, tax returns, a business licence or similar
- Corporate documents: articles of incorporation, partnership agreements or trade licences, where they apply
- Identity checks: each owner and director may need to verify their own identity

The checks depend on risk. We may ask for more, such as proof of the source of funds, before or after an account opens.

Keep operating cash apart from money set aside for tax, payroll or suppliers. Hold balances in more than one currency. Give merchant proceeds their own settlement destination. Each account keeps its own history and statements.

What do I need to apply?

Can I hold other currencies?
Merchant plan customers can hold several currencies. Business and Merchant customers can open a UK account to receive pounds.
Is there an account for students?
Yes. Eligible students can open an Olympian Student account through the Olympian Program. Olympus verifies student status, and students studying abroad can add Olympian Global. Read about the Olympian Program
