What agents do.

CashPoint, in Olympus Go and the merchant dashboard, is how an agent works.

Cash in

An agent accepts cash and the amount is credited to the customer's Olympus account.

Cash out

A customer requests cash in their app and gets a code. The agent enters it and hands over the cash.

Reach

Customers can reach their money where there is an agent, including places without a bank branch.

How a cash-out works.

  1. The customer requests cash

They choose an amount in the app. The amount plus fee is held on their account so it cannot be spent twice. A six-digit code is issued.

  2. The agent enters the code

The agent sees the fee before confirming, so the customer knows the full cost.

  3. The agent records the recipient

Name, ID type, ID number and ID expiry are required. An expired ID is refused.

  4. The code redeems

The held amount becomes a real debit, the agent’s account is credited, and both sides are recorded.

Agent tiers.

Olympus classifies each approved agent.

Individual

One person serving customers with cash, from a single location.

Business

A registered business that adds cash services to its counter.

Super agent

Serves customers and manages a network of sub-agents, funding them digitally.

Corporate

A larger operator with its own network of sub-agents, managed in one place.

Run an agent business.

Everything an agent needs to run cash safely sits in the merchant dashboard.

  • Digital float and cash on hand, side by side
  • A status for each agent: healthy, low cash, low float or excess cash
  • Commission earned, including today’s
  • Register and manage agents under your account
  • Super and corporate agents fund their sub-agents digitally and see the whole network

Fees.

The customer pays. The agent is paid a share of the fee.

Controls.

  • Every agent is reviewed and approved by Olympus before they can register agents
  • Recipient identity is recorded on every cash-out
  • Limits apply per transaction and per day
  • Cash handling follows Olympus’s anti-money-laundering procedures, with escalation at agent level
  • Every cash-in and cash-out is recorded on the platform and reconciles to the account
Agent availability and limits depend on the region and on the regulatory conditions that apply to Olympus there.
