Cookies policy.
What Olympus stores in your browser, and why. Short answer: very little, and nothing for advertising or tracking.
Cookies policy
Version 2.0, effective 21 September 2026. It replaces the version effective December 2024, which described a previous website.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Websites use them to keep you signed in, to remember choices and, on some sites, to measure visits or show advertising. Browsers also offer similar storage, covered in section 5.
2. The categories, and what we use
| Category | What it does | Do we use it? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and protects your session | Yes, on the sign-in pages and apps only |
| Functional | Remembers your preferences | No |
| Analytics and performance | Measures how a site is used | No |
| Advertising and marketing | Shows relevant ads and measures campaigns | No |
The Olympus Pay websites, including olympuspay.co, the developer site and the help centre, set no cookies at all.
3. Cookies we set
| Name | Where | Purpose | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Online banking and the merchant dashboard | Keeps you signed in and secures your session | Strictly necessary, first party | Until you sign out or the session expires |
Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent, because without them you could not sign in. We do not use them for advertising or to follow you across other websites.
4. Pages run by other companies
Some pages are run by payment providers, for example a hosted checkout page. They can set their own cookies under their own policies, and we do not control them. We ask our providers to keep to the same minimum.
5. Similar technologies: browser storage
A few pages on the Olympus websites keep small items in your browser so that they work. They stay on your device and are not sent to Olympus.
| Name | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| olympus-demo | Sample balances in the interactive previews | Until you close the tab |
| olp-fx | The latest exchange rates you loaded, so the rates page still works if a rate feed is slow | Up to 7 days |
The websites use no pixels, fingerprinting or advertising tags.
6. Your choices
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear site storage in their settings. The Information Commissioner’s Office explains how.
- If you block the necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
- Clearing site storage only resets the previews and the saved exchange rates.
7. If this changes
If we ever add cookies that need your consent, such as analytics, we will ask first, give you a simple choice and update this policy before we start.
8. Contact
Questions about cookies or your data: privacy@olympuspay.co. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
